I am working with a Croydon-based specialist at SEMH therapeutic school who is looking for an engaging and passionate Graduate Learning Mentor. The children attending this school will have an SEN diagnosis, EHCP (Education Health Care Plan), usually with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). I am looking to speak to professional and committed Therapeutic Learning Mentors. Even if your experience is informal/voluntary, we want to hear from you

**Learning Mentor requirements**:

- Passion for working with young people who require additional support to access education and social development
- Experience of working with SEMH, trauma, sensory processing, social communication, ACE (adverse childhood experiences), toxic stress
- Youth Mentor/Worker experience would be beneficial, but not essential
- Ability to build solid and meaningful relationships

**What you can expect as a Learning Mentor**:

- Learning Mentor roles will vary from day to day; you will be expected to use your initiative and respond calmly in challenging situations
- For aspiring Teachers, Pastoral Workers, Child Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, SALTs, Play/Art/Music Therapists, Counsellors, and Social Workers, these positions will offer a relevant and vital experience for your chosen career path
- Continued Professional Development - SEND schools and APs are continually training their staff to help them support their children's needs; you will become an expert in your field
- You will have an opportunity to make a substantial social impact; as a Behaviour Mentor, you could change the path of someone’s life

**Pay**:

- We understand that pay is significant and must be clear and straightforward Therefore, we have chosen to pay our staff via PAYE only. Quoted rates are gross pay, and your payment will never involve the employer's NI deductions or admin fees.
