**Job Title **Cargo Freight Supervisor (Import & Export)

**Department **Cargo

**Working Pattern **Monday to Friday - 09:00-17:30

**Salary **£35K - £38K

**Reporting to **Managing Director

**ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Management and daily running of the Cargo Department and team
- Handling of enquires, discussing requirements & working on Air, Road & Sea freight quotes.
- Liaising with Air, Sea and Road carriers regarding routes, schedules, and rates
- Liaising with road transport operations regarding haulage provision for local & global customers
- Booking cargo space with air, sea, and road carriers/couriers
- Preparing all shipping documentations to meet carriage requirements, legislation and ISO requirements using Boxtop software
- Building Cargo jobs in Boxtop
- Processing customs declarations using Descartes.
- Liaising with CAA and UKBF and NFAU where required
- Screening of Cargo material (once trained - provided by the company)
- Internal Compliance auditing
- Preparing and collating any additional paperwork for each movement to ensure compliance with international legal requirements.
- Monitoring shipment departures and arrivals and update inhouse system SAM and customers as required.
- Daily communication with customers, suppliers, third parties, subcontractors, network offices and crew regarding the details of the movements
- Keeping file administration up to date including processing of sales & suppliers invoicing, credit notes etc.
- Preparing docs and processing Dangerous Goods shipments following IATA DG rules and regulations. (DG training to be provided if required)
- End of month Cargo billing

**Essential Experience**
- Knowledge of CNS, CHIEF, CCS UK, airline sheds
- Knowledge of bonded warehouse and ETSF import clearances
- CAA standard knowledge including processes/procedure & legal compliance
- Experience managing a department/team
- Experience within a cargo department
- A professional individual with strong communication, presentation and numerical skills
- Instinctive commercial skillset - always looking to drive better process, profitability, and first-class solutions.
- High level of attention to detail
- An individual with a genuine desire to grow their skillset with a can-do approach to all tasks set

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
