**Practice Manager** Salary circa 45-50k dependent on skills and experience Permanent, Full time Wilsden, Bradford The Wilsden Medical Practice is a long-established GP practice based in Wilsden, Bradford. They value their role in the local community in improving health and outcomes and aim to continue to provide the whole breadth of services to patients. They are nowlooking to appoint a Practice Manager to join their team. **Job summary**: The Practice Manager will provide leadership and management skills to enable the practice to meet its agreed aims and objectives, within a profitable, efficient, safe and effective working environment. You will be required to coordinate and lead the practice'sresponsibilities to regulatory bodies. You will ideally have experience with the CQC. The main responsibilities of the Practice Manager will be as follows, but not limited to: - To ensure that The Wilsden Practice meets its agreed business aims and objectives - To provide effective leadership, exceptional financial acumen, business strategy and management skills - To develop a profitable, efficient, and effective business - To drive change programmes for the benefit of the whole practice - Strategic management and planning - Human Resources - Organisational duties - Management of Patient services - Information management and technology - Ensuring all patient, staff and other health care workers information is gathered, stored and used in a confidential, private and appropriate manner. - Implement and lead on the full range of promotion and management of their own and others’ health, safety and security - Support the equality, diversity and the rights of patients, carers and colleagues - Participate in any training programme implemented by the practice as part of this employment - Strive to maintain quality within the practice - Recognise the importance of effective communication within the team - Contributing to the implementation of services **Experience and skills** - Communicating with and managing staff - Working in teams and able to promote teamwork and increase employee engagement - Managing IT supplier - Financial management up to trial balance - Working with complex Excel spread sheets and extrapolating data - Management experience in the NHS or in practice management - Strategic business planning - Working with regulatory bodies and preparing for inspections - A business manager, with knowledge of employment law, small business accounts and other infrastructure matters - SystmOne - A "solutions focused" approach to problem solving - Intelligent with a fast learning ability - Excellent communication (oral and written) and inter-personal skills - Approachable with the ability to listen and empathize - Delegation and empowerment of staff - IT skills - Advance Excel, good Word and PowerPoint - Leadership skills, including excellent people management skills - Good time management - Computer literate able to manage third party IT partners - Customer service and complaints resolution - Negotiating and managing conflict - Able to manage change and cope with pressure - Networking and facilitation - Project management - SystmOne **Academic/Vocational Qualifications** - Evidence of a commitment to continuing professional development - Degree level certification (or equivalent intellect) - Relevant management or finance qualification **Personal Qualities** - Personable and approachable - Self-motivated and confident - able to work with mínimal direction - Adaptable and innovative - Enthusiasm, with energy and drive - Gains respect by example and by providing clear leadership - Trustworthy, honest, reliable, caring and sympathetic - Proactive strategic thinking with a clear vision - Confidential and conscientious - Hard working, reliable and resourceful - Good sense of humour
