Pinocchio's Children's Nurseries are looking for hardworking and self motivated person to join their Eskbank team as a domestic assistant.
The domestic assistant is responsible for the cleaning of the kitchen and maintaining a healthy and sanitary food environment. As well as delivering lunches to our Lasswade and Gilmerton nurseries.
**KEY WORK AREAS**:
- Supporting the nursery chef with food preparation, ensuring instructions for allergies and intolerances are followed.
- Support the nursery chef with keeping the kitchen clean/ organised and a sanitary food environment
- Delivering lunches to Lasswade and Gilmerton nurseries, whilst ensuring all food hygiene standards are maintained.
- Communicating with employees regarding allergies and dislikes and ensuring they are aware of any necessary information.
Health and Safety
- To ensure that food safety and general food hygiene is in conjunction with the 1995 regulations.
- Ensuring that the Health and Safety at Work in conjunction with the 1974 Act is adhered to.
- Have an up to date record of food safety (temperature control and hygiene regulations 1995).
- Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of service users s/he is responsible for, or comes into contact with.
- Responsible for keeping the kitchen clean and hygienic at all times. Cleaning the fridge weekly and the cupboards regularly and ensuring the floor is clean and free from hazards.
- Responsible for contributing to basic maintenance and care of equipment and appliances and reporting and health and safety issues.
- Labelling all food open in the fridge and all storage containers
- Ensuring all dishes are washed/ dried and stored correctly.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25 per week
