Sports Teaching Assistant

**Location**: Salford

**Hours of work**: Monday to Friday, Term time only, 08:15 to 14:45 each day

**_Monarch Education is currently working in partnership with Secondary Schools in the Salford area of Greater Manchester_**

In line with the needs of these schools, we are currently actively seeking to recruit Teaching Assistants with a background in Sports to work with pupils with challenging behaviours or those who have become disengaged with the curriculum.

**It is essential that you have experience supporting children; this could be in a voluntary placement, through coaching or on placement or previous paid employment.**

- Will have a **sports background (either through coaching or sports related degree),** to utilise their strong sports skills to help minimise disruption and bring pupils back on track.
- Confidence working in classrooms **supporting pupils who display low-level behavioural difficulties** or who have become distracted from their learning. You would be working alongside these pupils as a strong role model.
- Ability and willingness to understand the pupil's background and needs to help bring them back on track and minimise disruption in the classroom.
- ** A full enhanced DBS will be required**, Monarch Education are able to support in this if you do not already have one in place.
