Test Analyst

EQ’ vision is to be the leading global share registrar, offering complementary services to its client base Reporting to the Test Manager, the job holder will work with a small team of test professionals (based both onshore and offshore) providing testing and quality assurance for deliveries. The Test Analyst will work on various projects simultaneously, as outlined on the Product Roadmaps, providing support and assistance to the Senior Project Stakeholders and Project Managers during the software development lifecycle (SDLC) ensuring all processesand procedures are followed as detailed in the Test Strategy and Test Plans and outlined by GPMO. **Department Information** **Experience, Skills and Behaviours** - Have the ability to write comprehensive test conditions where limited requirements have been provided (able to "fill in the Gaps" using their pensions / payroll knowledge or strong analytical skills). - Write test matrices and test coverage schedules with traceability for any change management. - Must understand the core complexities of Life and pension processes including HMRC legislation such as taxation and RTI. - Work closely with SMEs to produce impact assessments for any changes. - Understand our client’s needs to ensure we have a suitable Regression Test Pack that covers individual client requirements. - Comprehensive understanding on the various testing methodologies available, ensuring the best fit for the proposed project is used. - Detailed knowledge of the testing lifecycle with a strong background on configuration and build control management for all testing environments. - Ensure the SDLC is followed and all QA elements are signed off with appropriate test evidence captured and stored. - Perform Test Execution and Test Scripting. - Able to create test data, knowledge of SQL would also be an asset. - Identify and raise defects in the agreed format including all relevant information. **Experience** - Experience of Agile development methodologies, with a good understand of how testing fits into the development process. - Experience of using Jira or other Test Management Tools, such as Azure DevOps, TFS, etc. **Core Skills** - Be approachable and responsive to colleagues and users and have an open-minded and constructive approach to problem solving. - Demonstrate effective and probing appraisal of situations.
