**Salary Range**:

- £46,000.00 to £50,000.00 a year

**Job Description
The successful post holder will provide highly specialist clinical knowledge and skills in a broad range of cardiac physiological investigations and deliver expert care for patients undergoing diagnosis and treatment in the Cardiology Department. To haveparticular responsibility for the provision and expansion of the Cardiac Rhythm management service.

You will also provide managerial and administrative support to the Principal Clinical Cardiac Physiologist and Cardiology Services Manager and assist in managing the technical resource efficiently and effectively, ensuring the smooth running of a qualityinvasive and non-invasive service to cardiac patients.

**Duties & Responsibilities
- Demonstrate highly developed knowledge and skills in a broad range of cardiological investigations.
- Act as a resource within the Technical Cardiology Service to provide professional expertise in the environment of the Cardiology Department.
- Perform a wide range of standard and complex or advanced procedures as requested by the clinician in Catheter Lab, Pacing & Defib, Stress testing and ambulatory monitoring and be involved in patient preparation for these tests.Experience of Electrophysiology/ablationwould be an advantage.
- Perform these procedures at independent practitioner level
- Perform these procedures in a number of settings and sometimes under difficult or stressful conditions eg. ITU, Cath Lab, patient rooms, cardiology department
- Follow departmental guidelines and protocols for each procedure relevant to the post ensuring quality control regarding e.g, reporting methods, pacemaker and complex device programming, ECG recordings.
- To actively develop and contribute to relevant programs of audit and enhancing the contribution of physiologists.
- Participate in the cardiac emergency oncall service for urgent PCI and device cases

**Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a post registration Cardiac Physiologist
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in the implantation and follow-up of complex pacing and ICD devices to include Biventricular optimisation
- Electrophysiology and Ablation experience are desirable
- Member of RCCP desirable
- In possession of or working towards attaining Intermediate Life Support status
- Confident communicator with high levels of written and spoken English
- Working knowledge of IT systems, such as Microsoft Office and Exce
- BHRS/IBHRE/EHRA accreditation desirable
