Café Supervisor

**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced, creative & motivated Cafe Supervisor to join our team in a busy setting based within The Museum of Somerset in Castle Green, Taunton.

**Duties**:

- Assist with preparing and serving food and beverages to customers.
- Responsible for opening & closing checks & cash management.
- Responsibility for the overall cleanliness and tidiness of the cafe area
- Assist in stock management and inventory control, purchasing stock & offering from suppliers.
- Handle customer inquiries & complaints and provide excellent customer service.
- Lead, mentor & motivate team members, ensuring an excellent level of customer service is provided.
- Working with the owner on menu ideas, pricing, rotas. recruitment etc.
- Assisting with the induction of new starters & training of staff.

**Experience/Requirements**
- Previous strong supervisory experience within a similar role/environment.
- Experience in food preparation.
- Creativity & flair to think outside the box.
- The ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment is a must.
- Excellent customer service & communication skills
- Hands on approach with willingness to help others and work as part of a team.

The cafe is open Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 5pm so working hours will be within these hours but will include working a Saturday.

Additional hours may be available for sister catering business.

Driving licence would be extremely beneficial due to delivery & shopping duties.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: Up to £14.50 per hour
