An exciting opportunity for a Pupil Care and Welfare Officer has arisen at Bertha Park School.
You will work as part of a team within our wider support for pupils' strategy.
**The Individual**:
The successful applicant will ideally have experience of working with people and an understanding of working in a health and safety environment.
There are no formal qualifications required for this post, however ideally you will have evidence of educational qualifications gained.
You must have the ability to handle issues with tact and sensitivity, be tolerant and have the ability to organise priorities.
You must be alert and ready to respond to problems.
Your duties will be as follows:
- Providing support for pupils in public areas of our school.
- Promoting our ethos and values with a particular focus on our anti-bullying strategy.
- Helping to ensure the safety of pupils who use contractual buses.
- Promoting healthy eating.
- Encourage respect for the school environment.
- Help to maintain safe behaviour of pupils in non-teaching areas of school.
- Improving attendance and late-coming by liaison with pupils and parents.
- Being the first point of contact for pupils on routine issues.
- Liaising with and relaying messages to guidance colleagues.
- Making contact with parents on routine matters.
- Provide first aid treatment to young people and campus users
- Undertake any other relevant duties which may be allocated as and when required.
