**JOB ROLE**:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Administrator to join an accountancy firm based in Bishops Stortford.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero is essential for this role.
The successful applicant will play a crucial part in supporting the financial operations and contributing to the overall efficiency of the organisation. An ability to mix bookkeeping with some admin work would be a great advantage, as would having some level of payroll processing using Sage.
**Responsibilities**
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow
- Prepare monthly financial reports for clients
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and reports
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
- Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and analysis
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, ideally for an accountancy practice.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
