CNC Machinists

**We have the following roles available**:

- CNC Turner - Day and night shift
- Tool Maker / General Machinist - Day shift

**Hours of work: 39 hrs per week**

Days - 6.45am to 15.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7.00am to 1.00pm Friday

Nights - 5.00pm to 3.30am Monday to Wednesday and 5.00pm to 2.30am Thursday

**CNC Turner Duties**:

- Setting and operating of CNC lathes, with an understanding of programming knowledge
- Be able to interpret technical drawings with a good understanding of geometric dimensions & tolerances
- Ensuring that quality and safety standards are adhered to at all times
- All work must be carried out in accordance with job card instructions and attendant stage drawings, customer specifications etc. and generally in accordance with the company’s quality system

**Toolmaker / General Machinist Duties**:

- Manufacture jigs, fixtures and special purpose tooling
- Ensuring an energetic pursuit of improved methods
- Will train on new technology as required by the department, for example XYZ lathes and CMM equipment
- To manufacture medium to complex parts to required drawing customer specification.
- Be able to inspect / measure own work
- Ensuring that information relating to the manufacturing process is accurately recorded, maintained and updated to reflect current practice. Including the keeping of tooling and fixture records within the department
- Willing to train others

**CNC Machinist Requirements**:

- Must have the right to live and work in the UK
- A Minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a high precision manufacturing environment. A qualified apprenticeship would be preferable
- Experience of operating Mazak controls would be preferable (CNC Turner)
- XYZ programming and cylindrical or jig grinding experience would be preferable (Toolmaker)
- Experience of working to engineering drawings or work instructions with the ability to interpret technical drawings with a high-level understanding of geometric dimensions & tolerances
