A History Teacher urgently needed for September in an all-boys comprehensive school in South London.

The school are seeking a confident and motivated History Teacher to cover lessons for KS3 to KS4.

Experience of teaching KS5 History will be advantageous for this History Teacher role but isn't essential.

If appointed as a History Teacher, you will be expected to teach lessons effectively and increase pupil attainment.

The salary for this History Teacher position will be between £34247 and £52463, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.

**The School**

The school has a reputation as the best place for post 16 study in its borough. It has a highly successful Sixth Form (joint with another local girls school).

This is evidenced by a year on year increase in the number of pupils progressing to Russell Group universities and other prestigious institutions and a fantastic record of young people moving on to study at Oxford and Cambridge.

There is a focus on the Performing Arts at the school. It was given Performing Arts status for its Dance, Drama, Music and Arts courses.

It also holds a silver Artsmark from the English Arts Council.

The school has an Investors in People award and in 2021, it became the first school in London to receive the Stonewall School Champion Gold award.

In regard to facilities, the school is equipped with a state of the art sports centre. It features a large air conditioned sports hall, with basketball nets, indoor cricket and indoor football provisions.

The other parts of the gym include a fitness suite, café, space for trampolining and table tennis.

As well as having a dance studio, drama room and theatre, the main building also has a recording studio and Mac computer room.

**Requirements**:
