JOB SUMMARY

The Field Service Team Leader will actively engage in our Lean journey by seeking, encouraging and acting on continuous improvement and developmental opportunities, while acting as a self-service coach to help team members learn, grow and help themselves when the opportunities present themselves. The Field Service Team Leader will be responsible for establishing and nurturing positive relationships with existing customers and act as a technical resource to help sustain and increase the performance of our equipment.

This position will require frequent travel between our locations along with travel to customer sites, vendors, agents and industry partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide Leadership to the Field Service Engineers and the internal support team;- Lead and develop a Field Service team across multiple locations, which is dynamic, responsive and professional; many of whom are located remotely.- Set high expectations of performance in all areas of Field Service.- Ensure proactive communications take place with all stakeholders regarding site visit requirements, expectations and deliverables.- Working closely with the other areas of the business to deliver service levels aligned to customer expectations.- Take ownership of machine installations from the point of delivery to the satisfactory conclusion of the installation with a sense of urgency, professionalism and with a desire to exceed customer expectations.- Provide reporting on team member performance, training needs, and growth opportunities.- Deal with customer complaints / frustrations in a courteous manner, with a desire to seek mutual resolution.

Deliver commercial Leadership for the Field Service business;- Meet and exceed the financial performance expectations of the Field Service business in terms of cost, margin and revenue, whilst setting policies that are aligned to our Vision of Service.- To develop and implement programs to promote the sales of Field Service products, such as service contracts, routine maintenance services, preventative maintenance services, line efficiency improvement packages, training packages, and fault diagnosis / breakdown support services.- Proactively communicate with other areas of the business on problematic installations, such that corrective action can be taken in a timely manner - ensuring customer satisfaction is reached.- Share and review resources required in order to fulfil customers’ needs from a Field Service point of view across the business.- Provide feedback information from customers regarding market trends & competitive equipment.- Undertake any other duties appropriate to your skill levels from time to time to meet the needs of the business.

EDUCATION- Educated to Degree standard or equivalent experience in a similar role.

EXPERIENCE- Minimum of 5 years in a similar role-
- Experience in the capital equipment section for packaging machinery would be a strong advantage

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES- Knowledge of, and experience with various types of packaging machinery and systems used in the food and consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries.- Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain and build customer relationships- Conducts oneself in a professional and customer centric fashion- Service oriented and driven to become an impactful contributor to the business- Excellent negotiator with the ability to persuasively articulate a value offering-
