Reporting to the Gate 2 Production Cell Leader in the Component Repair machine shops.
The ability to machine precision aircraft engine components for engine overhaul, assembly, and test. Work unsupervised while maintaining a safe working environment and producing high quality components.

**Essential Functions**:

- Machining of aircraft engine components to fine tolerance limits.
- Ability to work with a variety of machine tools, including turning, milling, vertical boring and grinding.
- Ability to operate CNC machine tools, programming experience is preferable but not essential.
- Familiar with engineering drawings and OEM technical manuals.
- Use of measuring equipment and be able to inspect engine components.
- PC work including working with OEM manuals.

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship/qualification essential.
- Proven experience of working in a Machine Shop environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Data analysis of Gate performance in relation to engine OTR and S&OP targets.
- Identify trends and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders.
- Perform administrative tasks aligned to the Planning organisation e.g. weekly KPI reporting.
- Provide ad-hoc support to the Single Item process (SVN Creation, Quotes & upkeep of data input in relevant schedules / tools)
- Maintain Planning / Production tools in relation to key parts to drive adherence and ensure operational alignment with Production plans.
- Additional tasks will include, but are not limited to, completing daily, weekly & monthly tasks aligned to the Planning organisation.

**Qualification / Requirements**:

- Experience of, or exposure to a production planning environment
- Knowledge of Lean principals would be beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
- Experienced user of ERP systems (SAP)
- Highly organised
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills
