Sales Assistant and Trainee Sales Assistant

We are currently looking to recruit a full-time Sales Assistant and Trainee Sales Assistant for our client based in Dunfermline that is a leading electrical wholesaler with 390 stores in the UK, their culture wherever possible is to promote from within,therefore career progression opportunities are available to everyone who joins this company.

This role will be starting immediately on a temporary to permanent contract through Workchain where then you will become a permanent member of the companies staff after you have completed 8 full weeks through ourselves.

**The role**:
The Sales Assistant role includes generating and increasing sales through serving customers on the trade counter, as well as over the telephone, preparing customer quotations, purchase ordering, supplier negotiation and warehouse duties including, pickingcustomer orders and goods in/out responsibilities.

**Responsibilities**:
Ø Serving customers on the trade counter

Ø Internal sales / answering the telephone

Ø Preparing customer quotations

Ø Purchase ordering and supplier negotiation

Ø Customer order picking

Ø Goods in / out responsibilities

Ø Strong work ethic and initiative

**Requirements**:
Ø Trade counter experience is essential (With electrical knowledge is preferred but NOT essential)

Ø Successful applicants will need to have a full UK driving licence

Ø Wholesale experience is preferable but NOT essential

Ø Strong work ethic and initiative

Ø Ability to work under pressure
