This new and exciting role will support the development of the clinical and professional voice and culture of both Nursing and AHP professions.
Do you have passion for workforce planning, development and supporting practitioner performance? You will need to work closely with the Head of Quality Governance & Patient Safety and lead the effective practice team to support the organisation with the workforce related priorities.
This is a key leadership post as we move forward in the post pandemic environment and explore how we can work differently with system partners as an Integrated Care System including Lincolnshire Health Education Institutes..

This new and exciting role will support the next stages in the development of the Quality and Nursing team.
The post holder will need to be a registered professional - Nurse or AHP with an expert level understanding of professional development, professional registration frameworks, effective practice, quality standards and quality improvement.

Provides visible nursing and AHP and clinical leadership across the Trust to provide consistent and best practice clinical guidance, advice and support to services, staff and patients.
Provides an expert professional role in the interpretation of national and local policy, commissioning and regulatory strategy and standards.
Plays an active role as a member of the Nursing, Allied Health Professional and Operations senior team, contributing to the planning and development of the Trust’s professional agendas and strategies.
Provide advanced professional nursing and AHP knowledge and broad health and service expertise to support all disciplines within the division.
Promotes an evidence-based practice culture for nursing & AHP staff, participating in the creation of local, regional and national networks and forums to share good practice - taking responsibility for the dissemination and implementation of learning.
Leads through clinical leaders, reviews when required for the effectiveness of nursing policies and procedures, with a particular focus on the quality of practice and patient outcomes.
Works collaborative with workforce and organisational development colleagues on programmes of work which proactively contribute to improved retention and recruitment outcomes.
Develops and maintains strong and effective relationships and links with educational establishments and providers.
Supports the development of divisional level workforce approaches and plans which are standardised where appropriate, safe for patients and responsive to individual and role requirements.
Ensures that workforce development frameworks for guidance, clinical governance, competency assessment and continuing education are in place across the organisation.
Plans, develops and allocates resources to deliver effective and successful workforce planning and development - including but not limited to skills and competencies, professional practice, professional and clinical leadership, advanced clinical practice, education frameworks, trainees and apprentices, student placement, mentorship, preceptorship.
Lead with wider quality team members designated areas of improvement in nursing and AHP practice identified through all areas of quality and corporate governance.
Support the wider roll out, development and implementation of the use of information technology to improve the quality, safety and efficiency of nursing care, including use of technology and devices in practice, assurance and performance frameworks and dashboards, systems that provide oversight to safe staffing and patient outcomes.
