**Teaching Assistant: L9 area**

We are recruiting a full-time, KS1 Teaching Assistant for a lovely primary school based in North Liverpool (L9) to work in a KS1 class. There could be the option of securing a permanent contract for the right person.

Your job role as a Teaching Assistant would be general classroom assistant duties, as well as 1:1 with children with special educational needs and also small group work.

We are looking for people who have strong behaviour management, experience in KS1 or EYFS classes

**As a Teaching Assistant you will be required to have knowledge and experience with the following;**:

- Experience with children with additional needs such as; speech and language, autism, non-verbal etc
- To have experience in a UK nursery or school-based setting

**Teaching Assistant role & responsibilities**:

- Use specialist skills/training/experience to support pupils and enhance their learning and so progress
- Undertake programmes linked to local and national learning strategies eg. Literacy, numeracy, phonics, KS1 recording achievement and progress and feeding back to the teacher
- Prepare, maintain, and use equipment/resources required to meet the lesson plans/relevant learning activity and assist pupils in their use
- To work with small groups of children and to take responsibility for their learning

**Non-negotiables**:

- Previous experience of working with children aged 0-11 in a voluntary or paid capacity
- Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) Level 2 upwards
