**Role Outline**

Green-tech is the UKs largest landscaping supplier, providing quality landscaping materials and wholesale garden supplies for landscaping contractors, architects, designers and landowners.

As a Specification advisor you will be focusing on our Green-tree brand, expanding the brand into major construction projects within the UK.

The role is both a technical and commercial role with the target of having Green-tech solutions specified on projects. You will be supported by the Specification & Estimating team, Internal Sales teams and Marketing team.

To be successful in the role you must have a knowledge of soil in the UK Market, have experience of selling landscaping products to the landscaping and construction industry and have excellent communication skills with a keen eye for detail.

**Main Responsibilites**
- Work closely with Business Development director on growing the Green-tree Brand.
- Work closely with our estimating and sales team.
- Forge relationships with key decision makers.
- Deliver targeted CPDs to the following; landscape architects, local authorities and main contractors.
- Work with solutions that have both technical and commercial benefits to the industry.
- Work to design the solutions into projects by utilising the Green-tech portfolio of products.
- Generate a pipeline of specification projects following through to hitting sales budgets.

**Skills Required**:

- A knowledge of soil in the UK market & Green Roofs would be a benefit.
- Excellent knowledge of general IT systems including the ability to compose and produce standard letters and reports (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Have excellent people and communication skills with the ability to develop a rapport with individuals and groups.
- A good work ethic with eye for detail. You will have a pro-active, can do, solution driven approach to your work.
- Have experience of selling landscaping products into the landscape and construction industry.
- Ideally have existing contacts with landscape architect and consultants across the UK.
- Be technically competent with the ability and willingness to learn.
- Possess the ability to influence and persuade specifiers to adopt innovative new products.
- Work well both as part of a team and as an individual, using your own initiative.
- Possess the drive, enthusiasm and work ethic to be able to turn an objective into tangible results.
