Our highly successful client based in Newport is looking to appoint a Book Keeper to join its growing team and working alongside the Business Services Assistant Manager.
Main Responsibilities:
- Data processing and reconciliations both at clients premises and in the office
- Bookkeeping to accruals and prepayments level
- Preparation of management accounts
- Preparation of VAT Returns
- Assistance on accounts preparation
- Other ad-hoc duties
- Dealing with ad hoc queries raised by clients
- Experience with Sage Line 50, Xero and other products
- Ability to reconcile all control accounts
- Ability to work unsupervised (required)
Essential skills and Qualifications:
- At least 3 years book keeping experience
- At least 2 years in an Accountancy organisation
- Knowledge of Xero, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc
- Ability to deal with tasks on a timely basis
- Enthusiasm coupled with drive and determination
- Ability to perform well working in a team environment
- Self manage work load
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Sage Line 50, IRIS, SAPA experience desirable
The working week: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday) to be worked from 8.30AM to 5.00PM with flexibility of hours to meet specific work demands.
