Head of Aerospace

Uniserve is looking to build on its current air freight proposition with the creation of a Head of Aerospace role.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Build a strategy and budget to ensure the business is operationally capable to service customers in the Aerospace sector within the first 6 months.
- Engage with Operational Heads to communicate that strategy and enlist their support.
- Identify and support the training needs through the business on compliance and operational requirements, constantly promoting best in class service delivery.
- Identify a pipeline of potential customers and build a strategy to market to and prospect, in conjunction with the business development teams. Acting as sponsor to provide related customer information and the expertise to close opportunities.
- Build tailored operating procedures with customers and the business units to successfully implement new traffic.
- Lead with customer reviews and KPI monitoring on accounts, based on agreements made on implementation.
- Be available for international travel, where a measurable return on investment can be achieved in promoting our Aerospace offering, increasing customer engagement, or developing the overseas partner strategy.
- Build on the initial 6 months strategy to develop a 12- and 24-month plan to grow the return in excess of investment at 12 months and increasing revenue and profitability by 24.
- Invest time in to maintaining your position as industry expert through research and networking, sharing that knowledge with potential & established customer and the Uniserve business.
- Feedback to Senior Managers and Directors on market information, competitor activity and industry trends which may impact the strategy.

**Skills, Knowledge and Expertise**
- Sound industry knowledge in Aerospace, having held a senior position in operations or business development specific to this sector.
- Strategic thinker with industry connections.
- Great communicator
- Driven and self-motivated
