Our client is looking for a Quality Control Specialist for a 3 month contract position, located in Aberdeen.
**ROLE**
The Quality Control Supervisor, Product QC oversees the execution of quality inspections such as visual, dimensional and NDE inspection of parts, assemblies and subassemblies. They ensure that the parts meet the design & manufacturing requirements and raise non-conformance when a defect is found. The role is specifically focused on within the Oilfield Services Portfolio. The Quality Control Supervisor is a full-time position that reports to the Quality Manager, Product QA; dependent on the size of the facility
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Health, Safety and Environment**:
- Actively participate in HSE programs as assigned
- Keep work areas of the facility in a safe, clean and organized manner at all times in accordance with 6S Checklist
- If ever you see anyone around you performing an unsafe act or working in an unsafe condition, immediately Stop Work and report to your lead/supervisor/manager
- If ever any HSE incident takes place, Stop Work and report immediately to your lead/supervisor/manager.
- Review all associated ORA’s/HRA’s/MOC’s/Work Permits prior to starting work and exercise Stop Work at any time for Safety.
**Quality**:
- Adhere to the OFS PeoplePRIMED Competence Management Program always as well as all other Quality requirements and exercise Stop Work at any time to ensure the job is done right, every time the first time
- If ever you see anyone around you doing something that could potentially jeopardize the quality of a product or service, immediately Stop Work and report to your lead/supervisor/manager
**Delivery/Production**:
- Responsible for overseeing quality control and scheduling such as visual, dimensional and NDE. Inspection of the parts requires.
- Collaborates with plant managers, quality and manufacturing engineering.
- Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings, specifications and procedures.
- Ability to identify and use measuring equipment needed to verify requirements.
- NDE certification of is required.
- Oversees to ensure inspection records, inspection logs, calibration.
- Initiates non-conformance reports on all products, parts, assemblies and subassemblies that are not to requirements.
- Drives quality culture to their plant.
- Collaborates with site quality and manufacturing engineering on RCA, corrective actions and continuous improvement.
- Works with management system databases and systems (SAP, BHOS, etc)
- May participate in quality audits, material review boards, kaizens or root cause analysis.
- May need to program or calibrate inspection equipment
**Financial**:
- Identify cost-out opportunities and elevate to lead for review/implementation.
**People / Employees**:
- Supervises the quality control inspector team.
- Ability to lead and inspire team of direct and indirect reports.
- Foster a positive, respectful and inclusive work environment with yourself and across your team, suppliers and with all Internal and external employees that interact with you at all times; instilling our Company Values throughout all our day-to-day activities and communications.
- Adhere to the on call/shift schedule; notify your lead/supervisor/manager immediately if any foreseen or unforeseen issue that would prevent you meeting your scheduled obligations.
- Take the opportunity to consult with your manager (or any level of HR/leadership) immediately if any work related or personal circumstances are impeding your ability to be safe and successful everyday. We care about all of our employees and are here to support whenever needed.
- Provides coaching to other quality control inspectors in area of proven competency.
