Aircraft De-icer

**Red Sky Personnel are recruiting for Aircraft De-Icer’s at London Heathrow Airport. The purpose of this role is to work as part of a team to operate aircraft de-icing trucks safely and efficiently for the purpose of de-icing aircraft.**

**Responsibilities**

As an Aircraft De-Icer, your duties will include but are not limited to:

- Participate in pre-planning for de/anti-icing events by performing checks on equipment and servicing equipment with fuel or glycol.
- Operate equipment within proximity to airfield personnel, aircraft and other airfield equipment safely and efficiently.
- Promptly and accurately complete all associated paperwork as required.
- Ensure proper shutdown of pads, including paperwork and logbooks; that all maintenance issues have been logged and reported to maintenance and all proper shutdown procedures for the equipment are followed.
- Regularly and proactively inspect, maintain and monitor equipment where applicable to ensure optimum efficiency and report all issues and inconsistencies to on-duty lead and/or Supervisor.
- Perform and maintain records of light maintenance tasks on equipment where applicable and immediately report any repair requirements.

**Shift Patterns**

You will work an average of 40 hours a week on a 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off pattern. Shifts will typically be 3am - 1:30pm for earlies and 1pm - 11pm for lates You will be required to work a mixture of early and late shifts Due to the nature of the position, you are expected to be flexible with your availability to work as shift times and patterns may change to support the operations.

**Pay Rate**

£11.99 while training and £13.08 after training completed. Paid weekly every Friday, one week in arrears
