- This exciting part time opportunity has arisen on a 12 month FTC to cover maternity leave and we are seeking someone for _**_16 hours_**_ per week._
- This is an office based role so you will need to be able to commute to the Saffron Walden office._

**So, what does the role of an Private Client Advisor here involve?**

This role will be made for you if you love fostering relationships and offering a comprehensive service to personal lines clients to find the right Insurance products to fit their needs.

Our Private Client Advisor are excellent at quoting and placing cover when instructed, inviting and binding renewals, dealing with mid-term adjustments, broking client requirements within the insurance market and providing assistance in all personal lines areas within the team, when appropriate.

You will work independently and manage client requirements within the scope of a busy client book that spans all business sectors and classes of personal lines insurance.

**What you will do**

This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Collaborating with your Line Manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all of the following and more:

- Manage own client bank and areas of responsibility, so that a positive contribution is made to achieving Company sales forecast, plans, programmes and budgets whilst maximising customer satisfaction.
- Check thoroughly all client documentation before despatch, ensuring queries are raised and amendments completed.
- Control your own diary system, ensuring all items are followed up by the due dates, particularly in relation to outstanding documentation from clients or insurers and premium payments.
- Assist customers with enquiries relating to claims, either by direct involvement with the insurer concerned if appropriate, or providing contact names and telephone numbers for customer own direct contact.
- Provide new business quotations for all classes of Personal Lines insurance on request, providing relevant advice, information and guidance.
- Take instructions from new clients, ensuring cover commences at the correct time, all relevant paperwork is completed, premium is collected and relevant records and diary entries are created.
- Take instructions from existing customers in respect of alterations to existing policies, ensuring insurers are notified and records updated.
- Offer renewal of existing clients’ policies with existing insurer or move to new insurer, as appropriate. In each case, ensure relevant paperwork is completed, premium is collected and relevant records and diary entries are created.

**What experience do our Private Client Advisor** need?**

It’s essential that you have experience gained from within the Insurance Industry in a personal lines broking role as you will be offering a complete personal lines experience to new and existing customers. You will also need to have knowledge of the law of agency, the Data Protection Act, credit management procedures, FCA Regulations for dealing with retail customers and money laundering legislation.
