Fibre Laser Operator

Connect Appointments are recruiting a Laser Operator to join our expanding client in Washington, England.

Working Hours:
Early: Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm

Back: Monday to Thursday, 2pm to 12am

**Please not that this Press Brake Operator role operates a 2-week fixed rotating shift pattern.**

Pay Rate:
£11.50 to £14.20 per hour

We are seeking an experienced CNC Laser Operator to join our client on a permanent basis, where your main responsibility will be the operation of a Bystronic 10kw Bystar Fibre Laser, inhouse training is offered. Your other duties as a Laser Operator willinclude:

- Meeting production schedule and targets
- Setting and operating the fibre laser
- Conducting quality and tolerance checks
- Ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of machines
- Follow company policies and procedure

Ideally for this role, you as a Laser Operator will have previous skills and experience within the industry, with the ability to ensure your ability to operate machinery in as safe and efficient manner as possible. Other skills and traits include:

- Being competent operating the fibre laser
- Be able to work to production cards
- Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Being able to communicate clearly and effectively
- Being able to work in a physically demanding environment
