**Job Title**: Disrepair/Damp Surveyor
**Duration**: 3 months
**Location**: Haringey
**Pay Rate**: £300 UMB p/d

**Purpose of the Role**:
As a Disrepair/Damp Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the repair and maintenance requirements of approximately 20,000 homes, including assessing building defects, specifying appropriate remedies, and ensuring compliance with quality and budgetary control systems.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
Conduct effective minor to extensive works maintenance surveying service for all properties, assessing condition and identifying defects.
Provide technical advice and support to all services.
Implement quality, financial, and budgetary control systems.
Assist with insurance claims requiring technical input and specify and implement necessary works.
Administer planned/cyclical maintenance programmes within specified areas.
Carry out pre and post inspections to ensure works are undertaken to contract standards.
Support the objectives of the HRS Trade Supervisors.
Prepare schedules of repairs, specifications, and technical drawings.
Support disrepair claims and assist with the Right to Buy process.
Project manage minor works schemes and Estate Improvement projects.
Conduct estate and block inspections in conjunction with Housing Management services.
Assist in identification and recommendation of priority projects for Capital Investments.
Liaise with client representatives, statutory authorities, tenants, and stakeholders.
Ensure work is undertaken in compliance with statutory requirements and legislation.
Use necessary technology and communication systems to achieve objectives.
Provide verbal and written replies to tenants, leaseholders, Members, and MPs.
Take responsibility for health and safety activities applicable to the post.
Manage complaints effectively and seek to resolve issues quickly.
Ensure compliance with Homes for Haringeys policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
Actively encourage and assist in the development of trainee building surveyors.
Be flexible with working hours to include out-of-hours activities and attendance at Resident meetings.
Carry out all necessary tasks to support Homes for Haringeys overall business objectives.
