**What will you do?**

You will report to the Senior Scientist, performing duties in support of antibody protein purification.

Specific duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:

- Executing all operational and administrative duties and activities that are associated with cloning, transformation, DNA extraction and DNA quantification.
- Maintain mammalian cell lines, cell banking, and transient transfection.
- Check sequencing data at a top-level using in house procedures for accuracy and report deviations.
- Reporting necessary and/or desired deviations from the established QC and/or production methods and processes.
- Ensure all data is entered correctly and entirely into the Main Lab Database, Stock Database and Aliquoting Record Book. In addition, keep paper records of all DNA preparations and transformations.
- Assist Laboratory Technician with General laboratory housekeeping - empty bins at the end of the day, wipe down slides etc.
- Other tasks and duties may be assigned.

**Minimum job requirements**
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to think analytically and critically.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Computer literate.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Willing to clean the lab at the end of the day
- Able to wear laboratory PPE.
- Authorised to work in the UK.
