Due to internal progression, there is an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director to join us at Align Property Services to lead the Estates, Commercial Agency, Highways, Civils, Bridges and Traffic and Transportation teams that are a part of our multi discipline workforce.

You will support teams of Engineers and Technicians to deliver a variety of projects and schemes, inspiring positive collaboration across all disciplines to achieve success.

Align Property Services is a Limited Company, wholly owned by North Yorkshire Council. We are one of the largest multi-discipline building design consultancies in the North of England. We are collaborative in the way we work, offering a broad range of services in Architecture, Sustainability, Building Surveying, Project Management, Civil & Structural, Transport Planning, Bridges, Highways & Drainage Engineering, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, CD, Property Advisory & Estate Management.

We are dynamic and diverse in our approach to projects, from valuing small gardens to multi-million-pound listed structures including schools, fire stations, care homes and other public and commercial buildings across the UK. 2024 has been one of our busiest years yet, with the development of exciting new projects with North Yorkshire Council and other public and private sector clients and is an exciting time to join us as we continue to evolve in 2025.

**As an Associate Director**

Your significant management experience and multi-disciplined knowledge will allow you to work as a lead for the planning and technical delivery of project work, from feasibility to completion.

You will successfully oversee the resource and financial management across your disciplines, whilst supporting the Technical Directors to manage workloads effectively and efficiently. With a strong client and project portfolio, along with a wide variety of work, this role offers the opportunity to develop the business with new project and client opportunities.

You will lead and support a busy and professional team who have a record of consistently meeting and exceeding their targets, and whose passion and determination leads them to continually improve the service they provide. We actively encourage staff development, meaning you will have responsibility to mentor and grow your own teams to ensure everyone reaches their full potential.

To be successful in this position, you will be able to demonstrate the following essential skills and qualifications:

- MRICS or CEng qualification, or equivalent qualification.
- Significant post-qualification experience in construction projects.
- Experience of managing project delivery and providing leadership within an engineering consultancy.
- Ability to build strong working relationships and communicate effectively with clients and external consultants.
- Be an expert in resource and financial management with ability to work with clients to produce required scopes of works and fee proposals.
- Be IT proficient with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience in preparing proposals for new business opportunities to new clients and supporting the quality elements for new tender opportunities.
- Actively progress business development opportunities and maintain existing client relationships.
