Embroidery Machinist

We are looking for a skilled Machinist to operate the embroidery machines and to perform assigned tasks.
A great machinist needs to possess manual dexterity and an eye for detail.
The goal is to ensure effective production operations, optimize output and meet targets
**Responsibilities**:
- Review samples to understand specifications of output
- Plan the necessary daily embroidery based on stock requirements
- Collect non-embroidered items required from store rooms
- Select appropriate clothing items, embroidery badges, thread colours and position
- Monitor machine at all times when it is operating (as well as framing up the next batch)
- Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and report defects
- Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
- Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages to garments
- Cross check badges with another staff member
**Requirements**:
- Experience as machinist essential but training will be given to successful applicant.
- Ability to use precision tools
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to work independently
- Ability to identify badge and thread colour
- Physical ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods of time.
**Salary**: £9.50-£15.00 per hour
