**Position**: Casual Leisure Assistant

**Salary**: NMW with additional 12.07% for annual leave top up (£5.39 to £10.64 per hour)

**Hours**: Variable Casual hours

**Location**:Worthing Leisure Centre

**Casual hours to include evenings and weekends.**

**What’s the role**

Role: You will be a key team member in the successful operation of the leisure facility, with responsibilities such as cleaning & customer service.

Objectives: As Leisure Centre Assistant you will work as part of the South Downs Leisure team to deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining the highest standards in cleaning and around our sites

In Leisure, you cannot always predict the exact staffing levels it may require, therefore dedicated, casual staff are required to assist in fluctuating demands.

Key Responsibilities:

- Reactive and Planned cleaning tasks
- General housekeeping around the building including replenishment of cleaning products
- Task assigned dependant on demands of the daily activity programme
- Assist Duty Manager with planned key tasks

Key Requirements of the role:

- Be able to work well as part of a team.
- Have a friendly, helpful attitude.
- Be aware of health and safety issues.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Be energetic and enthusiastic.
- Be able to deal with problems.
- Be willing to do routine tasks.
- Be flexible and able to move quickly from one job to another.
- Be prepared to do training courses when necessary.
- Assisting the user groups using the facilities

About you
- Excellent time keeping and attendance as reliability is a must.
- Strong ‘can do’ attitude
- Provide a high level of customer service.
- Ability to work at short notice.
