Design Engineer

Are you interested in joining a growing global manufacturing organisation? Have you got experience working in design, process and procedures? Origin Global is currently looking for a Design Engineer with a passion for designing new components and systemsfrom initial concepts through to implementation into the business.
The successful individual will have knowledge of 2D/3D CAD software, Simulation Software, Draftsight, Solidworks, SolidWorks EPDM.
**What you will be doing**:

- Draft 2D cross sections of designs using CAD and 3D models using Solidworks
- Assist with prototype builds and analyse prototype efficacy with follow up actions
- Improve existing components and profiles
- Ensure compliance with industry safety standards
- Ensure design specs are fit for purpose and ISO 9001 compliant
- Ensure products are user centric, practical to make, install, and eco-conscious
- Proactively implement innovative designs
- Present prototypes and designs to customers and departmental managers

**Who you are**:

- Minimum of 5 years' experience in design
- Have Experience in design, process and procedures
- Have mechanical design principals
- Have Fabrication/Assembly techniques
- Be able to process materials (Extruding, moulding etc.)
