**Job summary**:
The Digital Exploitation Manager role sits within central Defence People Team (DPT) Hub. The DPT Hub sits at the heart of the DPT ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations and providing services to the wider organisation so as to improve their ability to deliver their outcomes. As Digital Exploitation Manager, you will have an integral role working to the Chief of Staff to Chief of Defence People who is responsible for the business operations of the DPT.
The jobholder will champion digitalisation across the DPT and use their expertise to enhance our existing platforms and support the integration of digital solutions utilising the Microsoft Power Platform.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week
**Job description**:
The job holder will champion digitalisation across the DPT and have autonomy to develop digitalised options through requirements gathering and then implement live solutions including all other aspects along the deployment pipeline. This will include the completion of all associated paperwork, ensuring they comply with MOD and UK policy (including data protection), and developing support material, including training, to ensure their long-term use and support.
A key aspect of this will be ensuring feedback is routinely gathered and utilised to develop the solutions. To deliver this, the role must work closely with a wide range of stakeholders, at all levels of seniority, within the MOD, wider Civil Service, and with external contractors.
You will help shape development of the new digital solutions and enhance our existing platforms and support the integration of digital solutions utilising the Microsoft Power Platform.
Take responsibility for their own learning and development, especially in project management practice, digital frameworks, and technologies in an increasingly agile environment, alongside coaching and mentoring your team and the wider DPT community to establish standards for processes and tools.
**Person specification**:
**Essential Criteria**
- Experience of project management utilising the APMG framework, with a minimum of an Agile Foundation or Prince 2 qualification or the equivalent of two years’ experience managing digital projects.
- Excellent understanding and experience of developing the full suite of Microsoft Power Platform to deliver solutions that will benefit business outcome through digital platform including apps (Power Apps), data visualisation reports (Power BI), and automation (Power Automate).
- Experience of embedding digital projects and solutions into organisations through effective change management.
- Ability to train and develop personnel in digital ways of working using agile methodology.
- Experienced and comfortable in using and developing database solutions (Dataverse etc).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, expressing yourself clearly and engaging regularly with senior leaders to advocate for your point of view and challenge thinking.
- Being highly organised, establishing a close working relationship with a wide range of contacts, inside and outside the Department
- Ability to respond quickly to tasking with short and challenging deadlines.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong knowledge of Information Management practice and policy, including data protection.

- A formal training and certified qualification in Microsoft Power Platform or the willingness to take the course (PL-900) and sit the exam
