The role is fast paced and will require someone extremely organised with a high attention to detail. **Previous experience working as a Finance Assistant / Purchase Ledger is essential as you will be solely supporting the Finance Manager.**
**The business is very flexible with this position and are open to hiring someone full or part time. Options can be considered to make the role fit for the right person and hybrid working is available.**
**What will you be doing as a Finance Assistant**:
- Coding and posting supplier invoices to the purchase ledger
- Recording costs and overheads accurately and keeping records up to date
- Managing the purchase ledger, ensuring invoices are accurately recorded and payments allocated correctly
- Ensuring that supplier statements are reconciled to the purchase ledger prior to payments being made
- Working closely with the Finance Manager to establish a weekly cash payment BACS run
- Matching invoices from suppliers with purchase orders, ensuring prices and costs are agreed in advance
- Coding and posting credit card expenses to the purchase ledger
- Working in line with the companys set processes, and suggesting improvements
- Focusing on the accuracy and detail required of the role, highlighting any issues to the Finance Manager
**We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience**:
- Previous experience working as a Finance Assistant / Purchase Ledger
- Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail
- Strong financial and numeracy management skills
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Outstanding time management and work prioritisation skills
- Strong Microsoft and Excel knowledge
