**What this job involves**:
JLL, a leading global real estate services firm, is seeking a dedicated and professional Security Escort to join our team in Derby. They will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients, employees, and properties. They are responsible for providing an exceptional level of customer service, maintaining a secure environment, and assisting with access control procedures.
**What your day-to-day will look like**:
**Secure Environment**: Ensure the safety and security of the premises by conducting regular patrols, monitoring surveillance systems, and promptly addressing any suspicious activities or security breaches.
**Access Control**: Perform access control duties by verifying identification, granting access to authorized individuals, and enforcing JLL's security protocols.
Provide exceptional customer service to clients, visitors and employees by being a welcoming and professional point of contact, answering queries, providing accurate directions or assistance as needed.
**Emergency Response**: Act swiftly and appropriately in emergency situations, including evacuations, medical emergencies, or the activation of fire alarms, following established protocols and providing necessary support to clients, visitors, and employees.
**Incident Reporting**: Document and report all incidents, accidents, or other notable occurrences in a timely and accurate manner, maintaining proper records as required.
**Security Procedures**: Adhere to JLL's security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, while proactively suggesting enhancements to security protocols.
Collaborate effectively with team members, site personnel to create a safe and secure environment, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment for all.
Stay updated on industry best practices, attend trainings, and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skill set.
**Required Experience**:
Experience in security or a related field is preferred.
**Security Consciousness**: Strong understanding of security protocols, procedures, and best practices, with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels.
Demonstrated commitment to delivering outstanding customer service, coupled with a professional and approachable demeanour.
Proactive nature and ability to think on your feet, effectively assessing situations and making sound decisions to resolve issues calmly and efficiently.
