**Detailed job description and main responsibilities**:
**Clinical duties include**:

- Assessment of patients when referred to the service to establish any additional medical needs/concerns
- Regular review of patients receiving PBT
- Supportive care
- Prescribing chemotherapy (according to experience)
- Managing oncological emergencies (such as febrile neutropaenia) with support of the wider CYPCS team
- Liaison with referring Primary Treatment Centres and Shared Care Hospitals
- Most children and young people will be treated on an ambulatory/out-patient basis; some may be admitted to the CYPCS in-patient wards if required. The post-holder will liaise with the ward teams to ensure safe handover of information, and to minimize disruptions to PBT delivery.

- Full GMC registration
- MRCP or MRCPCH or equivalent

**Desirable criteria**:

- MD/PhD
- MRCPath

**Experience**:

- Middle grade experience in General Paediatrics
- Broad experience at SHO level in paediatric in a range of specialities both inpatient and outpatient
- Experience of acute paediatrics and ED

**Desirable criteria**:

- General and Paediaric Haematology /Oncology experience
- Experience of managing treatment-related toxicities, delivering supportive care
