Finance & Business Manager

_This expanding business is Warrington is looking for a Finance & Business Manager to oversee the finance function._
- This person will become a member of the Senior Leadership Team and leading on the Finance function during work with external Directors, the business planning and strategy sessions and being a role model for the company values and behaviours. Developmentof the Finance Team to create capacity for growth in line with business plan._

**Please see the outline duties below**:

- Accountable for ensuring robust financial systems are developed and deployed including sales ledger, purchase ledger and cash flow
- To own the company cash flow and credit control functions, warning MD of any risks when necessary
- To work closely with the MD in forecasting and budgeting, warning of any business risks
- Develop and produce financial reports for the MD
- Produce accurate management accounts and cashflow for monthly meeting with MD
- Manage the relationship with external accountants ensuring payroll, pensions and tax are all correct and paid on time.
- Work closely with the Sales & Logistics departments to ensure all credit control processes are managed effectively
- Manage the customer onboarding process alongside the Sales Team ensuring a positive client experience
- Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.
- Ownership of company insurances, excluding those that are Logistics specific

**Human Resources**:

- Manage the HR system that records all holidays / leave etc.
- Manage all HR related files and documents in line with GDPR

**General**
- Live the company values / behaviours and be a role model for the team
- Ownership of role specific projects and to be an integral part of wider business projects as and when required
- Act as a Business partner working closely with the MD to support business growth and development
- Develop and embed efficient and cohesive processes across all departments using Standard Operating Procedures
- Lead on the relationship with the IT and telephony providers ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency and support all other teams in solving any issues that arise
- Responsible for the Health & Safety of the premises ensuring that all compliance and audits are upheld and that the relevant risks are identified, assessed and mitigated
- Responsible for management of energy, water and other suppliers related to office premises ensuring we care getting cost effective services

**Profile**:

- Strong financial background including credit control and understanding financial statements / budgets
- High level of attention to detail and process orientated
- Experience leading a finance function in an owner managed SME
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Experience in leading a team in a transactional subcontractor environment
- Business Degree or equivalent
- Finance and/or accountancy qualification
- Experience of operating at a strategic level
- Experience of building and developing a small team
- Experience of leading and managing people to drive business performance
- Ambitious, team player that takes pride in customer service
- A self-starter who is resilient and can operate under pressure
- Experience leading a finance function in an owner managed SME
- Experience in leading a team in a transactional subcontractor environment
