You will also be expected to obtain a Lead Auditor Qualification once in the position if you do not already hold this. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Development of the site Environmental Management System (EMS) and undertaking its annual review. - Development and maintenance of the Significant Environmental Aspects Risk Assessments and their associated Register. - Maintenance and further development of the site Spillage Response Plan. - Acting as Waste Manager for the site, including the development of the Integrated Waste Management Plan. - Liaising with the Fuels and Gas Safety Regulator to maintain full site compliance as necessary. - Acting as Conservation Officer for the site, developing a site Conservation Group with suitable site guidance/policy on conservation. - Liaising with all appropriate stakeholders on site, including the Defence Infrastructure Organisation, Regional Prime Contractor and Delivery Partners, working towards shared EP and sustainability goals. **Person specification**: **Who are we looking for?** - Experience of working in a similar environment, or, a relevant Environmental qualification, such as the NEBOSH Environmental Certificate (or equivalent at level 3 or above) or willing to undertake this when in position - Computer literate especially in Microsoft Office Applications - Be able to demonstrate an understanding of the key components of an Environmental Management System (EMS) with the ability to advise, plan and deliver in line with expectations.
