Wigan, United Kingdom repairs and maintenence Full time

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on all HGV vehicles in the fleet.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on HGVs.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure vehicle reliability and longevity.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Order and manage inventory of parts and supplies needed for maintenance and repairs.
- Collaborate with the training team to schedule maintenance around training sessions.
- Provide technical support and advice to the driving instructors and trainees as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic or similar role.
- Relevant qualifications in vehicle maintenance and repair (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds).
- In-depth knowledge of HGV systems and components.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Valid HGV driving license is a plus.

**Working Conditions**:

- Full-time position.
- Based in Wigan, with occasional travel to local suppliers or service providers.
- Some flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate maintenance schedules.
