**Location**: Lactalis, Stranraer, Dumfries and Galloway, DG9 7DA
**Working Hours**: Full-time, Permanent: £14.07 /hour + shift premium

**About the Role**:
The Caledonian Cheese Company, part of Lactalis, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Powder Operator to join our team. You will ensure that all whey powder produced on site is bagged within strict guidelines. This is a great opportunity to join a global organisation represented in 51 countries.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Machine/Process Operations**: Manage machine and process operations, ensuring compliance with health & safety, quality, and food hygiene standards.
- **Productivity Monitoring**: Continuously monitor production processes, anticipate potential issues, and take appropriate action to maximise productivity.
- **Data Recording**: Accurately record data for the site’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Previous experience in a demanding food manufacturing environment is ideal.
- Confident and focused with strong decision-making abilities.
- Skilled in data analysis and effective communication.
- Enthusiastic, positive, and a team player.
- Exposure to continuous improvement/lean environments is advantageous.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts starting at 6am or 6pm, including weekend work.
