**Midlands (Birmingham, Solihull & Nottingham)**
**Salary £45,000 pa (Circa £58k with benefits)**

Our client is a global company providing technical services to some of the largest UK’s & worldwide engineering projects. The Facilities Manager will play a key role in planning and delivering workplace and facilities management strategy within the Midlandsregion.
**Main Responsibilities**
- Handling all matters relating to Statutory Compliance, Reactive Maintenance and preventative Maintenance
- Understanding the activities and priorities of the Head of Workplace and Facilities Management and the strategy for their offices and estate across the UK
- Understanding the priorities and requirements of the Local Office Leaders for their offices, and the Geography Leader ambitions for offices within the region
- Being able to think ahead and see the bigger picture (3-6 months ahead), taking a proactive and creative approach; considering things from a different perspective, offering solutions and recommendations.
- Managing Budgets and spend
- Taking a proactive lead on activities/initiatives that support the Head of Facilities and Office Leader’s objectives. Managing flow of information between key stakeholders.
- Proactively managing the maintenance and upkeep of properties, pre-empting needs, effectively managing and developing team
**Experience**
- Have a good knowledge of site plant, equipment and office services along with problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent knowledge of applicable Health & Safety requirements e.g. risk assessments, method statements, permits to work etc.
- Good Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Environmentally aware
- Good experience in all round knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, civil or facilities.
**Qualifications**
- Should have completed a level 4 in facilities management or similar e.g. National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
- BIFM - British Institute of Facilities Management
- IOSH - Institution of Occupational Safety and Health
- NEBOSH
