**Job Purpose**
Lead a small team of people in the production of all Kirsty’s products made on site ensuring compliance with all relevant food safety legislation and quality standards.
**Main Duties**
- Work according to Standard Operating Practice’s ensuring production targets are met;
- Working on a fast-paced manufacturing / production line;
- Gathering of ingredients to service the line; in accordance with the recipes
- Carrying out continuous quality checks on products;
- Ensure production paperwork is completed in compliance with company processes and relevant legislation.
- Be available to cover productions runs at short notice, with additional hours as required; Currently 2 shift patterns - 6am - 6pm and 6pm - 6am.
- Observe and maintain safety levels with attention to machinery and electrical equipment.
- Undertake training to meet food legislation requirements.
- Maintain a strict level of personal and workplace hygiene and monitor these standards across your team.
- Liaise and communicate with other teams and departments
- Regular cleaning of work area and weekly deep cleaning as per cleaning schedule
- Disposal and monitoring of all production waste
- Compliance with food safety legislation and company policy to promote and encourage a positive food safety culture.
**Line Leader Responsibilities**
- Leading a small team of operatives
- Overall responsibility for Critical Control Points
- Completion and sign off of any production related documentation
- Managing safety start up procedures
- Problem solving to avoid down time in production
- Machinery start up and general operation
**Skills and Experience**
Essential
- Proven experience in food production environments
- Basic math skills for inventory management and production calculations
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills to ensure effective collaboration
Desired
- Strong understanding of HACCP principles and food safety regulations
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.31 per hour
