**HOUSEKEEPER**

**Purpose of Post**
- To provide a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the Nursery.

**Key Areas**
- To develop routines to ensure all areas of the Nursery are maintained to high standards of cleanliness.
- To ensure all basic hygiene procedures are followed while working in the kitchen.
- To ensure laundry is washed and dried in line with infection control.

**Responsible To**:
Nursery Manager / Owners

**Main Duties**
- To sweep and mop all rooms at the end of the day.
- To be responsible for the laundry.
- Empty and wash out bins in all rooms.
- Tidy and dust all areas of the nursery.
- Vacuum all carpets.
- Clean toilets and hand basins.
- Keep a check on cleaning materials and re-order via the manager.
- Ensure rooms are stocked with cleaning materials at all times.
- Lock or unlock the building securely.
- Undertake any other duties as may be required from time to time.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
