Catering Assistant

We need a Catering Assistant to assist our Chef/Assistant Chef in the preparation of nutritious meals for our residents to enjoy. You will become part of a team who take pride in delivering good, nutritious food in a pleasant and homely environment

Yuur role will be
- To assist with the preparation of tea trolleys ensuring they are well equipped/stocked and delivered to a specific member of staff and not left unattended.
- To liaise with all staff to ensure that individual residents’ needs are met on a daily basis.
- To maintain a hygienic environment in the kitchen at all times including:

- Regular cleaning of all areas, as per Cleaning Rota.
- Loading and unloading the dishwasher, ensuring the dishwasher is kept clean.
- Wash up equipment unsuitable for dishwasher.
- Empty kitchen waste and keep bin clean.
- Attend all Health & Safety and COSHH training updates as required to ensure safe practices are adhered to at all times.

You will need to have a PVG (Disclosure Scotland) and we will meet the full cost of this, and we have training courses available to assist with your career
