Brisbane House Hotel in Largs are looking for an experienced receptionist to join our team.
From the moment the door opens to one of our venues our Reception team are on hand exceeding our Guests expectations, welcoming them and ensuring all of their requirements are met.
Our Receptionist works with their team to deliver a warm, friendly and professional service with ease creating a welcoming and relaxing environment for our guests. Don’t be mistaken that our Receptionists are based solely at the front desk, they can be found cleaning and tidying the reception area, researching and updating their local knowledge, dealing with phone enquiries and generally being a point of knowledge around the venue.
Our Guests experience starts at reception and our front of house team are pivotal in ensuring it gets off to a great start by providing all the relevant information, they also have the unique opportunity to wow our guests right from the beginning with restaurant and spa requirements, special occasion requests and much more.
You are not someone who thinks that the Receptionist role is just “meeting and greeting.” You understand the complexities and demands of the role. You are not desk bound or only work to your own goals and achievements nor are you are individualistic or self-centred and do not expect from your others what you are not prepared to deliver yourself.
Previous reception experience is essential and ideally you will be familiar with res diary/hotel executive/procure wizard but training will be given.
We’ve already begun the journey, and have started to make hospitality better for our team by;
- Paying every person the real living wage at a minimum, regardless of age or role.
- Sharing 10% of our net profits with team who have been with us 12+ months, and basing it on average hours, not pay.
- Removing zero-hours contracts (people now only get one if they request it).
- Ensuring there’s a Mental Health First Aider in every venue.
- Facilitating team surveys to get feedback/opinions before we make key decisions.
- Ensuring that our Team Member of the Month is voted for by the team and not managers.
- Giving our team a paid day off to volunteer or fundraise for a charity.
