An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Universal Plus Coordinator to join our Early Help Service. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children and families to provide targeted, individual and group interventions in order to improve outcomes for children and families.

**About the role**
Our Early Help Service focuses on providing universal and targeted services to families in need of Universal Plus support, from a range of different perspectives and approaches. Whilst the offer is delivered by a specific area of the service, early help and intervention is an ethos which threads throughout the directorate. One of the principles of the model of practice is to provide the right services to the family at the right time, and much of this is facilitated via the Early Help Services alongside statutory social care and education services.

The Early Help Service is led by Helen Harding, finalist at the Social Work Awards 2022 in the Team Leader of the Year category. You’ll join a multi-agency team within the Early Help Service.
The primary purpose of this role is to work with families to complete and coordinate Universal Plus Early Help assessments and interventions and develop targeted plans to ensure appropriate support is accessed in a timely manner. The role aims to deliver innovative interventions to ensure positive and sustainable changes are made and offered at the right time.
We promote a hybrid model of working with a flexible approach involving working from our town hall campus/children’s centres/hubs. We encourage increased face to face working for teams as we know how important this is with all meetings with children and family take place face to face.

As a Universal Plus Coordinator in our team you will work collaboratively with our families, partners as well as colleagues, ensuring a multi-disciplinary approach that aims to achieve excellent outcomes, which in turn supports our children and families to lead happy, healthy lives.
- Experience of delivering of high quality, outcome focussed support to children, young people and their families
- Ability to work collaboratively along with positively building relationships and partnerships, both internally and externally
- Providing innovative, tailored support and interventions based on the identified needs of the family and committed to continued development of skills and expertise
- An understanding of effective practice
