Warehouse & Despatch Lead

**Purpose/Objective**:
The Warehouse & Despatch Lead plays an integral role in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse, overseeing the receipt, storage, and despatch of goods on time and in full to the customer. This position involves coordinating the daily activities of warehouse personnel, managing inventory levels, and ensuring the accuracy of shipments and inventory.

**Key Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Carry out all duties in accordance with Company rules H&S guidelines and legal requirements.
- Receive product from Production or external source and store in correct areas, checking accuracy.
- Identify stock that can be used on orders by means of checking picking lists or separate information passed on from the Customer Support office.
- Ensure that shipments are packed up in a secure method and relevant shipping paperwork is prepared via the business system/carriers’ system or advised by Customer Support office.
- Modify stock helmets as instructed by production/customer support.
- Liaise with internal departments.
- Interact with carriers on pick up of orders.
- Ensure that stores and despatch areas are always tidy, and goods are stored in correct bays/areas.
- Ensure 6S is carried out.
- Inventory stock control. Monitor and report on stock levels.
- Carry out perpetual stock checks and stocktaking as per company guidelines.
- Operate Forklift Truck and carry out daily inspection check as per checklist.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Good communication and organisational skills
- Loading / unloading vehicles
- Collection and storage of paperwork, proof of delivery etc
- Checking orders / delivery notes, C of C for accuracy
- Perform inventory counts
- SAP Experience
- Carriage of Dangerous Goods
- Maintain Company standards of stock accuracy
- Professional image
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

**Person Specification**:

- Reliable
- Able to use own initiative/ common sense
- Trustworthy
- Driving licence

**Qualifications/Experience**:

- Good numerical and writing skills
- Previous experience in a warehouse/despatch role desirable

**Any other Duties**:

- Additional duties may be required to be carried out as prescribed by business demand but to include - key holder responsibility for Despatch area. Despatch must be left in a secure manner. Coverage as needed in Stores.

Pay: £13.30 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
