The new SEN college based in Poole caters for students in post 16 who have a range of SEN needs. The college will deliver personalised learning through a bespoke methodology of class, outdoor and community-based learning spaces, depending on the learners’choice, interests and future ambitions. The college has two sites which enables them to deliver Enterprise activities such as Horticulture, Animal Care, Catering and Nature Tourism, that our students will develop their skills in order to use these in theirlives.

**We are on the look out for passionate Teaching Assistants and Education Support Assistants who will provide key worker educational support and care for students with complex needs.**

Main Duties include:

- Supporting class teacher with the preparation of resources to meet the needs of the students
- Providing 1:1 support for the delivery of skills based learning.
- To use a range of communication strategies to support communication with students
- To work with the Head of Student Support, Behaviour and Welfare Support Leads to support the social and emotional needs of young people
- Work closely with class lecturer to report on progress using an evidence based approach

To be successful in this role it is **desirable** if you:

- Have experience working within a school setting
- Have experience working with children and/or adults with SEN
- Have the ability to engage pupils in their learning and support them in their social, emotional and personal wellbeing
- Are nurturing and enthusiastic

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
