As well as keeping the ambulances ready for operational duties, you will also ensure correct levels of stock and equipment assets are assigned to each vehicle, along with accurately recording the withdrawal of stock electronically.

You will need to be willing to work shifts, include nights and weekends and be flexible in line with service needs. Good communication skills and a basic understanding of IT is essential along with the ability to work to tight deadlines.

Your role will also involve moving ambulances and vehicles so a UK driving licence with a commitment to attaining a full C1 within 12 months of commencement into role is mandatory.

Pay enhancements are made for unsocial hours worked, i.e. weekends, nights & Bank Holidays.

We will also provide comprehensive training for the new electronic equipment, the tools to carry out the job and a Trust uniform.

Along with developing a full understanding of how vitally important this role is. Your duties will include replacing, re-stocking equipment and cleaning vehicles (to IPC standards) using systemic processes and specialist equipment and chemicals within an emergency vehicle. You will be liaising with vehicle technicians with regards to vehicle maintenance requirements and will be required to communicate accurately and effectively within the team.

Other responsibilities will require you to move ambulances around the site for refuelling, cleaning, parking, vehicle testing and maintenance.
