**Working hours**: Full time and Part Time hours* available - Up to 39 hours per week - Based upon an agreed monthly rota averaging 169 hours per month (Full time equivalent)

**Sleep-in payments**: £30 per sleep

**Mileage/Travel payments**: Mileage payments as per company policy - Mileage payments paid from home due to the role of floating RCW. Additional travel time payments after the first 30 minutes of travel to and from place of work.

We are recruiting for Floating Residential Care Workers to working within our homes based in East Yorkshire including Hull, Goole and Selby.

We are looking for people who have life skills and values and ethics in line with the Cambian Group. Experience of working with children or in a health and social care setting would benefit but this NOT essential for us as at Cambian full training and support will be provided.

The role and responsibilities are based upon an RCW role (see job description and person specification). The Floating RCW will be required to work within all homes within the assigned region and this may require redeployment at short notice.

The Children’s Homes provides 52-week therapeutic care, in a residential setting the setting is a sensory environment which helps to support children and young people back into the community. Therefore, the role will be working on a rota basis (average 169 hours a month) and will at times require sleep-in duties depending on the size and the needs of the home.

As the role will be a regional based role it is essential the floating RCW is a driver with access to their own transport and the willingness to travel across the region, this maybe at short notice. Due to the travel requirements of the role mileage payments will be given and additional travel time payments after the first 30 minutes of travel.

The working day can be very unpredictable and you could find yourself doing a variation of duties such as organising activities to attending parental appointments. We are looking for people who are flexible, reliable, adaptable able to read situations to help our young people make positive choices.

Meeting the needs of the Children and Young People in line with OFSTED regulations

Qualifications/Experience/Requirements

Ability to meet the job description and person specification
Driver with access to own transport
Ability and willingness to undertake and complete a level 3/4 in Childrens social care
Willingness to use own transport and to travel across the assigned region
Flexibility to meet the needs of the rota and undertake sleep in duties
Aged over 21 (due to legal requirements)
