We are looking for an excellent & dedicated Teacher on behalf of a happy & friendly primary school. This 1 year long maternity cover is full time in their well-behaved Year 4 class. This class is strong & in a good place, it is a two form entry school soyour class will have excellent parallel teachers as part of the working team alongs with TAs so you will have a strong team around you. This local school has a warm, welcoming & homely feeling.

This is a teaching role which involes planning of stimulating & creative lessons for the children, to make sure they are engaging in their learning journey.

As part of the role you will be providing extra support to the children who have additional needs, you will make sure the class is inclusive. You will need to be able to encourage children to work together & achieve their goals.

You will be working closely with the class TA, so good communication skills are key. You will be coordinating activities & lessons with the TA including organising trips off-site. These skills will also be used when liaising with parents & guardians, whichwill be a big part of the role.

You will need to be someone who is caring, nurturing and able to provide a happy safe environment to learn and grow. It is your responsibility to make sure the children are safe in school & at home, you must report any safeguarding concerns to the designatedsafeguarding lead.

As part of this role you will be managing the classroom, this includes being able to stay calm in stressful situations, and being able to positively manage challenging behaviour.

Your role will include:

- Planning and marking
- Following the school marking policy
- Promoting good progress and outcomes
- Adapting teaching to respond to the strengths of pupils
- Managing behaviour effectively
- Demonstrating good curriculum knowledge
- Liaising with parents

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in a KS2 setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff
- Adaptable and flexible with your methods.
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and a proven track record of achieving positive academic results
- An enthusiastic and creative approach to teaching
