**Radiology Healthcare Assistant**

One Ashford Hospital, Kent has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Radiology Healthcare Assistant to join our superb diagnostic imaging team.

You will also be required to partake in administrative duties for ultrasound services.

**Hours**: 37.5 per week; shifts between 8am & 8pm Monday to Friday.

**Role responsibilities**:

- Assist patients throughout their time within the Imaging department and preparing patients prior to their imaging appointments.
- Assisting the Radiographers in maintaining an efficient daily work list, workflow of patients.
- Assisting Radiologists in carrying out radiological examinations, preparing the examination room following clinical guidelines and safe practicing procedure.
- Ensure all documentation is present and correct prior to the list beginning.
- Use Patient Administration Systems to construct the daily work list.
- Working closely with the appointments team to ensure all sessions are used optimally.
- Keep patients informed before, during and after examination, including how and where to get the results from the examination.
- Supporting in an administrative capacity, booking ultrasound lists and assisting in the maintenance of stock levels.

**Radiology Healthcare Assistant**

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum GCSE education or equivalent
- NVQ or equivalent, Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care preferred

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 1 years experience in a clinical healthcare setting.
- Ability to learn and develop and undertake appropriate training for the role.

**Skills**:

- Patient focused; able to deliver a high standard of customer care
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
- Basic computer skills; familiar with MS Office suite
- Sound written and verbal communication skills

**Desirables**:

- Experience in the private healthcare sector
- Previous experience in radiology healthcare.
